Already tried probiotics, prebiotics or synbiotics - but nothing seems to change?
Probiotics add live bacteria. But those bacteria still need to survive, settle into the gut and produce beneficial compounds before your pet can benefit.
If probiotics survive, and are fed properly, they produce beneficial compounds that support the gut.
Postbiotics are exactly those compounds, already created through Japanese fermentation technology.
No waiting for live bacteria to survive, feed and produce them.
This makes postbiotics particularly beneficial for older, weaker, stressed or gut-sensitive pets, pets recovering from digestive upset, or those whose gut simply hasn’t responded well to probiotics.
PREBIOTICS
Fibres and other nutrients that feed good bacteria already living in the gut.
PROBIOTICS
Living good microorganisms that must remain alive during storage and travel through the digestive system.
POSTBIOTICS
The beneficial compounds made by good bacteria during fermentation. The live bacteria are then removed, leaving behind ready-to-absorb compounds that can act directly in the gut.
Prebiotics feed the bacteria. Probiotics are the bacteria. Postbiotics are what the bacteria produce.
Postbiotic compounds help maintain an intestinal environment that supports beneficial bacteria and normal digestive function.
Fermentation-derived compounds, including short-chain fatty acids, help re-generate and strengthen intestinal cells and restore normal gut-barrier function.
By supporting the intestinal environment and normal digestive function, postbiotics can help maintain more regular, healthy and comfortable bowel movements.
